Toshiba Seiya Classic Series 2.0kW Reverse Cycle Split System — Small Rooms, Serious Comfort

The 2.0kW Seiya is the smallest unit in the Classic Series and the smartest choice for a room you don’t need to over-cool. In a typical Brisbane bedroom, study or nursery of up to around 20 square metres, a 2.0kW inverter head will hold your set temperature all night on a low, whisper-quiet fan speed — which is both cheaper to run and far more comfortable than a larger unit blasting cold air and switching off.

Why this capacity, and when not to choose it

Choose 2.0kW for single bedrooms, nurseries, studies, small home offices and granny flat bedrooms up to roughly 20m2 with average insulation and no large west-facing window. If your room is over 20m2, has a full-height west-facing window, a raked ceiling, or opens onto a hallway or living area, step up to the 2.5kW model — an undersized unit will run flat out in February and never reach setpoint.

Humidity is what stops you sleeping in Brisbane, not just heat. The Seiya’s inverter compressor runs continuously at low speed rather than cycling, which strips far more moisture out of the air than an on/off unit. Combined with quiet mode and sleep timer, most owners run this unit at 24–25°C and sleep through the night.

Supply and installation in Brisbane

We are a licensed QBCC and ARCtick-certified installer. A standard back-to-back installation takes 3–5 hours and includes wall bracket, insulated pipework, drainage, electrical connection to a suitable circuit, commissioning and a full demonstration of the controller. Add installation to your order at checkout, or buy supply-only and arrange your own licensed installer — note that refrigerant work must legally be carried out by an ARCtick licence holder.

Warranty: 5 years parts and labour for residential use, subject to Toshiba’s warranty terms and correct installation by a licensed technician.
