Samsung Bedarra Series 2.5kW Reverse Cycle Split System – Smart Comfort for Bedrooms

The 2.5kW Bedarra is sized for bedrooms, nurseries, studies and home offices up to roughly 25 square metres. Samsung’s Digital Inverter compressor runs continuously at low speed rather than cycling on and off, which holds the room within about a degree of your set temperature and removes far more humidity from the air – the difference between a Brisbane bedroom that feels comfortable at 24 degrees and one that has to be frozen to 20 degrees to feel dry.

Where Samsung stands out

SmartThings control is the practical advantage here. You can set the bedroom to start cooling twenty minutes before bedtime, check whether the kids left it running, or monitor consumption from your phone. Combined with the auto clean function, which dries the coil after each cooling cycle, it is a genuinely low-maintenance bedroom system.

Sizing note: if the room exceeds 25m2, has a raked ceiling, a large west-facing window, or opens onto a hallway, choose the 3.5kW model instead. Oversizing is not the safe option – an oversized unit cools too quickly, shuts down, and leaves the room cold and damp.
