The 7.8kW is the largest unit in the AP Series and one of the highest-capacity wall-mounted splits available in Australia. It delivers near-commercial cooling and heating output for spaces of roughly 70 to 78 square metres, while keeping the low installed cost and minimal disruption of a wall-mounted installation.

Who buys this unit

Large open-plan homes and shed conversions, retail floors, function and meeting rooms, gyms and studios, workshops, warehouse offices and hospitality dining areas. It is also a common retrofit answer where there is no accessible roof space for ducted, or where a business cannot afford the downtime of a cassette installation.

Specify it properly

At this capacity we strongly recommend a site assessment before purchase. We calculate air volume rather than floor area, then factor in glazing and orientation, insulation, occupancy, equipment heat load, operating hours and available electrical supply. Expect a dedicated circuit and confirmed switchboard capacity, robust structural support for both units, and adequate outdoor clearance for airflow and future servicing.

In long, narrow or partitioned spaces, two mid-size units usually outperform one large one — better air distribution, useful redundancy if one fails, and often a comparable total cost. We will tell you if that is the better solution for your layout.
