ActronAir is Australian designed and built, engineered specifically for our climate — which is exactly why it performs so well through a 40°C Brisbane heatwave when some imported systems start derating. Our licensed technicians install, repair and service the full ActronAir range across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay.

ActronAir installation in Brisbane
- Free on-site assessment and heat-load sizing — room-by-room calculation covering ceiling height, glazing, insulation, orientation and Brisbane design conditions, so zoning actually works as intended.
- Ducted installation and zoning — ActronAir’s strongest offering. Ceiling-space or outdoor package units, insulated flexible ductwork, motorised zone dampers, and controller placement planned around roof access in older Queenslanders.
- Advance and Ultima ducted systems with ActronAir zone control and individual room temperature control (Zone Sensors / EvoCool).
- Wall split installation — Serene and Aires series, back-to-back or long pipe runs, wall brackets or ground pads with anti-vibration mounts.
- Multi-head installation for townhouses and homes with tight side setbacks.
- Cassette, bulkhead and ceiling-suspended units for offices, shops, clinics and childcare centres.
- Light commercial packaged units — rooftop and ground-mounted Classic and Cool Series packages.
- Electrical works — dedicated circuit, isolator, switchboard assessment, compliance certificate at handover.
- Wi-Fi setup — ActronConnect / Que controller commissioning and app walkthrough.
- Old system removal with legal refrigerant recovery.
ActronAir repairs
Faults we see most often
- Ducted system not cooling or barely cooling — refrigerant leak, dirty coil, failed capacitor, contactor or compressor
- Individual zones not getting air — failed zone motor, damper stuck, disconnected or collapsed flexible duct
- Water dripping through the ceiling — blocked condensate drain, cracked tray, failed drain pump
- Que or C7 controller showing a fault code, or a blank/frozen screen
- Outdoor or package unit not starting — contactor, capacitor, fan motor, control board
- Compressor short-cycling or tripping the breaker
- Loud vibration, rattling ducts or noisy indoor fan bearing
- Musty mould odour through the vents
- ActronConnect Wi-Fi module offline
- Storm and power-surge damage to control boards
How ActronAir reports faults
ActronAir systems generally display an alphanumeric fault code on the wall controller (Que, C7, LM/LR series) rather than flashing lights. Codes typically indicate sensor faults, high or low pressure trips, compressor protection, indoor/outdoor communication loss, or fan and drain faults. Because the code sets differ substantially between platforms, we read the code on site with the correct diagnostic reference rather than guessing from a generic table.
If the controller is showing a high-pressure trip or a compressor protection fault, switch the system off at the isolator and book a technician — repeated tripping does real damage to the compressor.
ActronAir servicing and maintenance
Ducted systems work harder and accumulate more dust than splits, so they benefit most from regular servicing — and ActronAir warranty conditions expect it.
- Return-air filter clean or replacement
- Indoor coil and blower assembly clean (chemical clean where required)
- Drain tray flush, drain line clear, drain pump test and antibacterial treatment
- Outdoor/package condenser coil wash and fin comb — essential on the bayside where salt corrodes coils
- Refrigerant pressure, superheat and subcooling checks, plus leak inspection
- Electrical testing — amp draw, capacitors, contactors, terminal tightness
- Airflow, static pressure and temperature-split verification
- Zone motor and damper operation test, duct joint, plenum and insulation inspection
- Controller firmware and sensor calibration check
- Written condition report with photos and recommendations
Frequency: every 12 months minimum for ducted and packaged systems; every 6 months for commercial, coastal or high-dust sites.
ActronAir models and ranges we support
- Ducted inverter — Ultima Series (variable capacity), Advance Series, Classic Series ducted
- Packaged units — Cool Series and Classic packaged air conditioners for rooftop and ground mounting
- Wall splits — Serene Series (SRE), Aires Series, plus older split models
- Multi-split — multi-head outdoor units with mixed indoor combinations
- Cassettes and bulkheads — 4-way cassettes, under-ceiling and bulkhead units
- Light commercial — ducted and packaged systems for offices, retail, warehouses and childcare
- Controls — Que Controller with ActronConnect, C7 and LM/LR wall controllers, zone sensors, EvoCool individual room control, BMS interfaces
ActronAir’s Australian manufacturing means spare parts and technical support are locally sourced, so repairs on older units are usually still viable.
ActronAir FAQs
Why choose an Australian-made system like ActronAir?
ActronAir is designed and tested for Australian ambient conditions, so it holds rated capacity in extreme heat rather than derating like some systems specified for milder climates. Local manufacturing also means faster parts supply and local technical support — a real advantage over a 15-year ownership period.
Is ActronAir best for ducted or splits?
Both are supported, but ActronAir’s strength is ducted and zoned systems, especially the Ultima variable-capacity range paired with the Que controller. For a single room, a Serene split is competitive; for a whole-home solution, ActronAir ducted is one of the best options in Brisbane.
What warranty do ActronAir systems carry?
ActronAir residential systems in Australia generally carry a 5-year parts and labour warranty when installed by a licensed installer and registered with ActronAir. We complete registration for you. Warranty requires reasonable maintenance and doesn’t cover blocked drains, storm damage or power surges.
How much does a ducted ActronAir system cost to run?
Running cost depends far more on zoning and sizing than on the badge. A correctly zoned Ultima system only conditions the rooms in use and modulates capacity down, which typically cuts running cost significantly against an older fixed-speed ducted unit. We’ll estimate it based on your actual floor plan and usage pattern.
Can I add zones to my existing ActronAir ducted system?
Usually yes, if the indoor unit has spare capacity and the duct layout allows it. We can add motorised dampers, extra outlets and zone sensors, and upgrade the controller. We’ll check static pressure and airflow first so adding zones doesn’t starve the system.
Why is water coming through my ceiling?
A blocked condensate drain or failed drain pump on the ceiling-space unit. This is the most common ducted emergency we attend in Brisbane summers, and it can damage plasterboard fast. Turn the system off at the isolator and call us.
Can I control my ActronAir from my phone?
Yes — with the Que controller and ActronConnect you get app-based scheduling, zone control, temperature setpoints and fault notifications. Many older C7-controlled systems can be upgraded; we’ll confirm compatibility from your model and serial numbers.
How long does an ActronAir system last?
Ducted and packaged ActronAir systems commonly run 15–20 years with regular servicing, which is at the upper end for Australian conditions. Coastal properties should have the condenser washed and corrosion-treated annually.
Which areas do you service?
All of Brisbane plus Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay — including the CBD, Chermside, Aspley, North Lakes, Carindale, Mount Gravatt, Sunnybank, Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Wynnum.
