When a 5.0kW head can’t quite cover the space, the 6.0kW AP is the sensible next step. It suits large open-plan living zones, big family rooms and light commercial spaces of roughly 50 to 60 square metres — including high-ceilinged Queenslander living rooms and upper-level townhouse living areas that carry significant roof heat load.

Pipe run length, correct refrigerant charge, indoor unit height, return air clearance and unobstructed outdoor airflow all directly affect delivered capacity and running cost. We size from an actual heat load assessment rather than a rule of thumb, and position the indoor head so air reaches the far end of the room instead of stalling halfway across it.

Electrical note: at 6.0kW a dedicated circuit is often required, and in older Brisbane homes we may need to assess the switchboard. This is confirmed in writing in your quote, never discovered on installation day.
