The 4.2kW Seiya is a living room unit. It has the airflow and capacity to bring a 35–45 square metre lounge or lounge-dining space down to a comfortable temperature quickly after a hot Brisbane day, then throttle back and hold it there efficiently.

When 4.2kW is the right call

Choose this capacity for main living areas of roughly 35–45m2, lounge-dining combinations, larger rumpus rooms and small retail or office spaces. If your living area flows into an open kitchen, or the ceiling is raked, consider the 5.0kW model — open-plan spaces behave much larger than their measured floor area.

Living room performance in a subtropical climate

Where a bedroom unit only has to hold a small volume of air, a living room unit deals with people, cooking heat, televisions, glazing and doors that open all afternoon. The Seiya’s inverter compressor ramps up to meet that load and then runs at low speed, which is what keeps humidity down and running costs sensible. Wide airflow louvres distribute air across the room rather than dumping it in one corner.
